I truly cannot say enough about my tutor—the woman I affectionately call “my brain.” She didn’t just help me pass nursing school; she taught me how to actually understand nursing, science, and clinical reasoning from the ground up.
Because of her teaching, I consistently scored in the 90th percentile or higher on my state proctored exams every term, and I never received anything lower than a B+ throughout nursing school. Those results came from putting in the work, but she was the person who taught me how to learn and how to think like a nurse.
If you are lucky enough to learn from her, take advantage of every second of it. She is absolutely incredible at what she does, and I genuinely would not be the nurse I am today without her.
I truly cannot recommend my tutor enough. I have had the privilege of working with Caitlyn for nearly four years, and she has played a huge role in my academic and professional journey. From the very beginning, she helped me excel in some of my most challenging prerequisite courses, including Physiology and Microbiology, and with her guidance, I was able to consistently earn A’s. Those grades were incredibly important in strengthening my application and significantly improving my chances of being accepted into a competitive community college nursing program. But what makes her tutoring so special is that she never focused solely on helping me simply pass an exam or get the right answer. She made sure I actually understood the material and developed a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, and the test taking and critical thinking skills that would eventually become the foundation of my nursing education.
Looking back now as a nursing school graduate and newly licensed RN, I can honestly say that so much of what she taught me came full circle. Concepts and skills that I learned with her years ago continued to resurface throughout nursing school, and I was consistently able to draw upon the foundational knowledge and study skills she helped me develop. She gave me a skill set that extended far beyond any individual class or exam and helped me become a more confident, capable student and nurse. Even after all those years, she was there to help me prepare for the NCLEX and I passed in 85 my first attempt. I genuinely believe that the foundation Caitlyn helped me build years ago contributed to that success. She has been far more than a tutor to me; she has been an incredible mentor throughout one of the most important journeys of my life, and I will always be grateful for the knowledge, confidence, and encouragement she gave me along the way!
